The official kick off of my 30 Under 30 list… Beauty and the Beast in 3D.

This past Monday officially kicked of the start of my 30 Under 30 list.

I wish I could say I had visited a city or took a dance class, but no I went and saw Beauty and the Beast 3D. Where does this fit in my list? Well part of my list is to watch the AFI’s 10 Top 10 movie list. Beauty and the Beast is one of the top 10 animated movies. (http://www.afi.com/10top10/)

I loved the movie, but I’ve always loved it, so seeing it in 3D was like a bonus. I couldn’t believe all of the words to the songs I still remembered!! I even found myself quoting some lines- and I think it may have been a good 10+ years since I last watched it. I made a note to myself that I think Beauty and the Beast is one of the last Disney/Animated movies to have come out that didn’t have any “famous” voices in it (I could be wrong though- I mean once you move on to Lion King and Aladdin you have Whoopi Goldberg and Robin Williams stepping in).

So, now that I have mentioned the movie we’ve all seen about 100 times it’s time for some Danielle trivia!!!

Q: Danielle, in how many different formats have you seen Beauty and the Beast?

A: Hmmm, good question- let me think about that. Well, I first saw the movie, and then I saw Beauty and the Beast on Ice (yes, on ICE!!). I have also seen the Broadway musical a few times and I did NOT like it. I have seen it on a few stages, all the way from community theater to professional in England and I still do not like this musical. And now finally, I have seen it in 3D.Which is my favorite, because I know that's what you are thinking? I would have to say Beauty and the Beast on Ice. I mean how often do you get to see someone dressed as a candle fall over and have a clock and a feather duster try to get him up- even as a kid I knew that was funny!!!

As long as we are talking about the movies- I have a disclaimer I need to throw out there. After looking over the movie list I think this will be the only task that I allow previous viewings to count. I saw the Lion King in 3D in October, so I will be counting that and I hate to say it but I don’t think I can watch Fantasia again… I turned it off as a 10 year old and I think I will do the same at 27.
